The Kingfisher
Day Centre

The Day Centre

Established in 1984, the Kingfisher Trust is a registered charity providing personalised care, rehabilitation and social interaction - and more - to vulnerable older people. It also provides much needed respite for their families and carers.

From 11th December 2011 the Kingfisher Day Centre is based at the former Portals Sports and Social Club in Laverstoke. Work has been completed and the Kingfisher Day Centre will be active from this purpose-built accessible day centre.

The Day Centre provides a service under contract to HCC for eligible residents in Overton, Whitchurch, St Mary Bourne & surrounding areas of North Hampshire, as well as self-funding clients who do not meet the council's criteria.

The Trust consists of representatives of local charities, caring organisations and local authorities who elect an Executive Committee annually which meets regularly to implement the policies and oversee the running of the day centre.
