The Day Centre

The Kingfisher Day Centre is now officially open. Sir George Young performed the cutting the ribbon ceremony on April 13th 2012.

The Kingfisher Trust is a local independent registered charity established in 1984, covering primarily, Overton, Whitchurch, St Mary Bourne and surrounding areas of North Hampshire. It provides personalised care, re-enablement, and social interaction for older people of all abilities, as well as much deserved respite for their carers.

Since the opening of the new premises in Laverstoke Lane, we are delighted to be able to invite new clients to attend. These may be on a more ad-hoc basis than was possible previously:

Emergency Cover
If you are ill or in crisis we can care for your charge at short notice

Do you need care for a special day
A house move or a day at the races

Regular Care
Day care from 9.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday

Occasional Days
Day care is available any day we are open

Occasional Hours
Half days or in 2 hour sessions are available

	Client information: Up to 25 clients a day are catered for each Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 9am and 4pm

	Volunteers needed: We are in need of volunteers in any capacity, from project work with the elderly and bus escorts to marketing and fund raising. If you think you could spare an hour (or more) for one day a week (or more) please contact us. It can be fun!
	Events: In order to keep the Kingfisher Day Centre running we run regular events to aid fund raising. Our aim is to make these enjoyable for all concerned. Please check out the next organised events and, hopefully, you will find something that appeals to you in order to support us
